The Challenge
The United States Air Force needed an advanced, real-time system to support mission planning and execution. The goal was to design an intuitive, high-performance interface that enabled Air Force personnel to process complex data quickly and make split-second decisions with confidence.
Beyond the technical challenges, this project pushed me as a designer in ways I hadn’t experienced before. Designing on the fly, in a room full of decision-makers watching my work projected on a big screen, was an intense but transformative experience. It sharpened my ability to think fast, adapt instantly, and solve problems with precision—turning me into a confident, expert-level designer.
Key challenges included:
Creating an interface that streamlined complex workflows without sacrificing precision.
Designing under high-pressure, real-time collaboration, iterating in front of stakeholders.
Ensuring the system was efficient, clear, and mission-ready for Air Force personnel.
My Role
As a User Experience Designer, I was responsible for:
Live problem-solving and iterative design in high-stakes environments.
Structuring workflows and interaction models for rapid decision-making.
Translating complex operational needs into intuitive, streamlined interfaces.
Ensuring usability and efficiency through real-time feedback and iteration.
The Approach
Designing in Real Time – Rapid ideation and iteration in front of key stakeholders, refining solutions on the spot.
High-Stakes User Testing – Worked directly with Air Force personnel to ensure designs met operational needs.
Data-Driven Interaction Models – Designed for clarity, speed, and precision in mission-critical workflows.
Agile & Adaptive Execution – Seamlessly pivoted between strategy and execution to meet evolving needs.
The Impact
Optimized Mission Readiness – Designed an interface that enabled personnel to process information faster and act decisively.
Elevated Decision-Making Tools – Created a system that enhanced real-time strategic planning.
Career-Defining Growth – This project shaped me into a designer who thrives under pressure, solving complex challenges with speed and accuracy.

Beyond this project, I also contributed to conceptual design work for multi-channel strategies that extended beyond mission-critical tools. These additional screens showcase another iPad application designed for streamlined data analysis tools, interactive graphics, and augmented reality—demonstrating cutting-edge design thinking in complex environments.
